The Zombie Astral R(e)volution - a project exploring African spirituality and the relationship between the zombie and the negative stereotypes that surrounds the Black body. The concept of the zombie within African spirituality differs from that of western media. Within some African spiritual cosmology, the zombie is not a living dead but a creature of its own,  comparable to an angel; one such group that reveres the zombie is the Bazimba people of  West Africa, summon the Bwiti zombie for guidance they can only be seen after a ritual ceremony.
